A colon surgery is in a lot of ways, different from a colon cancer surgery. While a colon cancer surgery or a laparoscopic colon surgery works primarily on removing only the timorous cells in the colon to ensure the colon is healthy, a colon surgery may in essence work to remove any unwanted element in the colon.
